The IBEW Founders' Scholarship honors the dedicated wiremen and linemen who, on November 28, 1891, organized the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Each year the officers of the IBEW are pleased to offer its working members scholarships on a competitive basis. It is hoped that the awards will not only contribute to the personal development of our members but also steward the electrical industry that our founders envisioned.
The award is for $200 per semester credit hour at any accredited college or university toward an associate's, bachelor's or postgraduate degree in an approved field. The maximum distribution is $24,000 per person over a period not to exceed eight years.

Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation
The Duluth Superior Community Foundation offers over 60 scholarships to students in the Twin Ports and surrounding areas.
Duluth Builders Exchange Legacy Scholarships
The Duluth Builders Exchange is committed to assisting members of the communities it serves to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to lead to satisfying and rewarding careers in the building and construction industry.
Applicants will use this scholarship of up to $500 to purchase tools and equipment required to start an apprenticeship program. Acme Tools (Duluth) and Bear Shoe Works are the two participating area vendors. Applicants will be asked to specify which vendor they will use based on a provided tool list.
