The IBEW Political Department has engaged Lake Research and EMC to put together focus groups to do online surveying and polling.  These companies are reaching out to members in battleground states (MI, MN & WI). In the coming weeks, you may be receiving calls from these firms seeking participants to fill out online surveys and polling for the upcoming election. You may be financially compensated for your time. This message is to let you know this is not a scam.

Hello and hoping this finds you well!

The IBEW is conducting research to understand members’ opinions on key issues affecting working families like yours. As a valued member, we want to make sure that we count your voice in this research. You may be called in the next couple weeks by an independent research facility—commissioned by the IBEW—to recruit members for their participation in an online focus group discussion that will take place in early to mid-May. Your participation in this study would be highly valued and your input during the research would be strictly confidential and anonymous. The discussion group will take the form of an online “chat” group rather than a live video discussion. You will be asked to log-in twice a day for about thirty minutes in total each day to answer some questions posted by the group’s moderator. Members who are selected to participate are financially compensated for their time. We thank you in advance for your willingness to contribute your perspective to this important research.
